Scary stories from a lovely place
What’s old man Weather doing where you are today? Here in Dublin we’re making the most of the Summery goodness. We’re frolicking in shorts and t-shirts, finding and harrassing snails, hitting up the local park, eating sand from the pit, playing with water and generally basking in the warm rays.
Everyone complains about something. In South Africa it’s the crime. In Australia it’s…most things. And in Ireland it’s the weather. Apparently it’s been a rather dissapointing summer here this year. Rainfall has been high, temps low and the light dull. But I’ve not experienced that yet. There’ve been some chilly mornings but once the sun dawns it’s lovely and temperate with flashes of brilliant warmth. And the sun doesn’t go down until well after 8pm meaning the days are long and light-filled – great for the soul.
